Routine: 10/06/2008, 1500 hrs. To: All Members From: Staff 002, Dep. Eldon Hale DCS New Member Applications Due to a review of the application and credentialing procedures currently being conducted, applications for new members and the ID card exchange process is suspended until further notice. As soon as the review is completed, the process(es) will be reactivated. We are aware the current ID cards expire soon and everything is being done to resume the process in time to exchange the IDs by the expiration date. We apologize for the inconvienence, but please bear with us as we make efforts to improve the process. EOC1 Routine: 10/06/2008, 1507 hrs. To: All Members From: Staff 002, Eldon Hale Semi-Annual Meeting Information The Semi-Annual Meeting is scheduled and the information is; Monday October 20th, 2008 1900 hrs. Cerritos Park East 13234 166th St. Cerritos, CA 90703 The location is freeway accessible from the 5 fwy, Carmenita Rd. exit, then head south. Eldon Hale Golden Guardian Exercise The Golden Guardian exercise is fast approaching and many questions have been heard regarding the role and activities of DCS members. Per the Tactical officer in charge of the exercise at EOB, DCS members will be involved with their districts and neighboring communities in those capacities as indicated in established plans with their DCOs and/or Coordinators, or local communities. This will include staffing at EOB. If there are no pre-planned activities for such an event, now is the time to get them established. Please remember the exercise will simulate complete communication systems failure for the first two hours of the exercise minimum, which leaves only amateur radio as a viable communication system. Member participation is paramount. EOC3 Routine: 10/06/2008, 1517 hrs. To: All Members From: Executive Staff November Elections The elections this November are being conducted with Aero Bureau which will require the use of DCS members as in previous elections.
